Book clubs in Kansas City's Northland

Some books are too good to keep to yourself, and some are too maddening. Either way, they deserve company. Every club below meets at The Gilded Page, 4264 North Oak Trafficway, and you're welcome to pull up a chair. To save your seat at any of them, RSVP on our events page.

Smut Book Club

Third Friday of the month, 6:30 to 8:30pm

Romance with heat, read without apology and discussed in appropriately moody lighting. Learn more about Smut Book Club or RSVP for the next meeting.

Haters Book Club

Fourth Wednesday of the month, 6:30 to 8pm

There's no assigned reading. Bring a book you hated and want to rant about, or one you expected to hate and were won over by. Make your case, take some pushback, and argue it out. RSVP for the next meeting.

Cozy Story Hour

Tuesdays, 6 to 7pm

An hour each week to listen to an audiobook together, with no homework at all. Come solo or with a friend, and stay quiet or chat after. Kids are welcome. Right now we're listening to The Spellshop, and you'll find more cozy reads on our Cozy Reading Crew list. RSVP for Tuesday.

Puzzle Night

Every other Friday, 6 to 8pm

There's no clock and there are no teams, only a seat in our game rooms and a thousand tiny cardboard pieces to lose an hour or two in. See the next Puzzle Night.
